1. Introduction
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Abrams Grp LLP (Company No. OC437246) has taken, and continues to take, to understand potential modern slavery and human trafficking risks across its business and supply chains, and to prevent them.
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, forced or compulsory labour, and domestic servitude.
2. Our business
Abrams Grp LLP, based in Nottingham, United Kingdom, provides healthcare staffing, online training, compliance services and background checks (including DBS and NPPV vetting support). We also support victims of domestic abuse through reintegration and employment pathways.
Because of the sectors we operate in, we treat the risk of modern slavery — both within our organisation and among the workers we place and train — with the utmost seriousness.
3. Our supply chains
Our supply chains include:
- Professional service providers (IT hosting, software, accountancy, legal)
- Training content platforms and learning management systems
- Background-check and vetting bodies
- Office facilities and general suppliers
We do not manufacture goods and we do not operate in high-risk manufacturing jurisdictions.
4. Our policies
We operate the following policies to embed ethical conduct:
- Anti-slavery and human trafficking policy
- Recruitment and right-to-work policy — every worker’s identity, right to work and eligibility is verified before placement
- Whistleblowing policy — staff and learners can report concerns safely and confidentially
- Safeguarding policy — covering the adults and children our services touch
- Supplier code of conduct — suppliers are expected to confirm compliance with anti-slavery standards
5. Due diligence and risk management
As part of our commitment:
- We verify identity and right-to-work documentation for all staff and placed workers.
- We assess new suppliers for modern slavery risk before engagement and require contractual confirmation of compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Staff in recruitment and placement roles receive training on identifying indicators of modern slavery and exploitation.
- Any concern raised through whistleblowing channels is investigated promptly and, where appropriate, reported to the authorities.
6. Supporting victims
Beyond compliance, we actively support survivors of domestic abuse — who are at heightened risk of modern slavery — through confidential assistance, skills development and pathways back into employment, in partnership with specialist organisations.
7. Reporting concerns
Anyone can raise a concern about modern slavery in our business or supply chains:

Concerns can be raised anonymously. We will never retaliate against anyone reporting a concern in good faith.
8. Effectiveness and review
Management reviews this statement and our anti-slavery controls annually, considering incidents reported, supplier assessments completed and training delivered.
9. Approval
This statement was approved by the partners of Abrams Grp LLP.
